This limited edition version of Lowe’s book is signed by the editor and contributors Jan Morris and Peter Hillary. The endpapers feature an illustration of Everest by Julian Heaton Cooper, son of William Heaton Cooper who conceived the dust-jacket design for John Hunt’s The Ascent of Everest. The limited edition is additionally illustrated with a portrait reprinted from Ed Hillary’s photograph of George Lowe at Base Camp in 1953, and a tipped-in section of the sleeping bag that Lowe used on Everest.
